Connect to SharePoint Online with MFA
Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account, including MFA and Conditional Access. No App ID or admin consent needed.
Connect
- Open Connections and click to connect a new environment.
- Enter the address of a site, for example
https://contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/hr, or the admin centerhttps://contoso-admin.sharepoint.comto list all site collections. - Choose Microsoft 365 / browser sign-in (MFA).
- Microsoft's own sign-in page opens. Enter your account, password and MFA code as usual.
The session is reused for the tenant's other sites, so you sign in once per account.
Good to know
- The sign-in happens on Microsoft's page, so your password is never seen or stored by SharePoint Migrator.
- When the session expires during a long copy, the app signs in again silently when it can. Otherwise it asks you to sign in, and then continues.
- Conditional Access policies apply as for any browser sign-in. If your organization only allows managed devices, use a compliant PC.
A blank or closing sign-in window usually means a proxy or a security tool blocks
login.microsoftonline.com. Ask IT to allow it, then try again.
