Updates: not offered, or "not signed by the publisher"
How in-app updates work, why one may not be offered, and how to update by hand without losing settings.
How updates work
The app checks for updates by itself. When a new version is available, a bar at the top of the window offers Update: the new version is downloaded, its signature is checked, and it installs (the app restarts). Connections, tasks, mappings and the license stay.
Not offered
- The app shows its version (for example v1.0.19) at the bottom of the left menu. Compare it with the version on the download page.
- A proxy may block
https://mknepalsolutions.com/updates/…. Open that address in a browser on the same computer. - Update by hand: download the installer from My licenses and run it over the existing installation. Nothing is lost.
