Group or Team
- Group creates a Microsoft 365 group with its owners, members and files. If the source is a team, its channels and conversations are left out, and the report says so.
- Team creates the group and its team, with channels, private channels, conversations and channel files. If the source group has no team, a new team with only the General channel is created.
Rules
- A destination mail nickname can be used only once in the list. Use letters, digits,
.,-and_only: no spaces or@, at most 64 characters. - Commas, semicolons (Excel in many countries) and tabs are all accepted as separators, and header names may contain spaces.
- Lines with mistakes are listed when you import; the valid rows are imported.
Other ways to fill the list
- Add from source lists every Microsoft 365 group in the source tenant, with a Team badge. Tick the ones you want.
- Export CSV saves the list, so you can edit it in Excel and import it again.
- Check finds every source group and tells you which destinations already exist.
