Warnings: "Author/dates: …", "Column values: …", user not found
The file copied, but some metadata did not. Why authors, dates or column values can be missing, and how to fix them.
A warning means the item is at the destination, but something about it couldn't be copied exactly.
| Warning | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Author/dates: … user … not found | The person who created or changed the file doesn't exist in the destination (left the company, different domain). | Map old accounts to new ones under Mappings (how), then Run again with Replace for those files. Without a mapping, the field may show the migration account instead. |
| Column values: SharePoint refused them to the app | SharePoint wouldn't show this item's columns to the app (sensitivity labels or protected items). | The file and its dates copied. Re-enter important column values, or copy that item with a Microsoft account (MFA) connection. |
| Version …: … | One old version couldn't be read at the source. | The other versions and the current file copied. Usually nothing to do. |
| Lookup or managed-metadata column empty | The lookup list or term doesn't exist at the destination. | Copy the lookup list first (or the site structure), make sure the term set exists, then run again. |
Export the report (Tasks → report → Export) and filter by warning to see them all.
